As CMO, I have the privilege of working with our customers and forging relationships in the marketplace. I fell in love with what we do because I have been able to see the impact education has had in people’s lives first hand. Watching people be the first in their families to graduate, to create a better life for their children or to achieve something they never thought possible motivates me each and every day. And I get to work in an environment that is constantly changing and challenging me. I may have finally learned to never say never.
What does Thruline mean to you?
Thruline is about mission to me. Solving real problems in local communities where real people can benefit. Doing well by doing good.
What do you like best about Thruline?
I love the energy. The energy our team has about the work they do, the energy our partners have about what they are trying to accomplish and the work we are doing together. Feeling that energy as we walk the halls is amazing.
What is it about higher education marketing that excites you?
That we are truly helping people become a better version of themselves. That we are helping our partners beat their results year over year. And we are damn good at it.
How do you believe education changes lives?
It gives people options that they did not have before, opens new opportunities and a foundation of confidence for their next step.
What’s the most fun you have had at work?
This is difficult. It is hard to narrow down to the most fun. Getting to celebrate the wins after a bunch of people work really hard together is really important. And I LOVE the holiday party. Really, I love it.
What do you love about Kansas City?
It is a hidden gem. It is full of a lot of practical, hard-working people who are interested in creating new things. Whether it is art, new companies or products, Kansas City is full of entrepreneurs who bring their ideas to life.
What do you do in your downtime?
I have 2 kids, 2 and under. I have no ‘downtime’ right now. When I had downtime I would read, be a bit maniacal about the Nebraska Cornhuskers and travel the world. Life looks a little different right now, but is amazing in all sorts of different ways.
